Personal Liability Insurance?

This question goes out to all those who are further along in their freedom quest than I am.

How does one, who is not a homeowner, find and obtain personal liability insurance? Once I correct my status to non-US citizen, is it possible to obtain insurance covering not only myself, but also my minor children?

I am more concerned with them travelling by automobile. This country has gotten so litigious (spelling may be off) that any promise to pay for any damages may be met with unbelieving stares. And God forbid, someone is really injured, either me, mine, or someone else.

for cars, i've heard of co-operative ins.

but i dont think you're referring to that.
