This Moorish business is nonsense dreamed up about a century ago by an Afro-American conman who called himself (IIRC) "Noble Drew Ali". He started up a non-Christian church called the Moorish Science Temple. His followers identify themselves by adding "-Bey" to their last names and with the honorifics "Sheik" and even "Sheikess". Need I add that this church is black-only?

Their secret grimoire has a collection of documents that supposedly govern their lives: A "Zodiac Constitution", the "True Thirteenth Amendment" - which not only frees the slaves but gives them total tax exemption and enormous payouts, "Lincoln's Ethical Will" - a document that has no real connection to Abraham Lincoln, and some other stuff. They're not even supposed to show this book to outsiders, although they have referred to it in frequent court pleadings.

They claim to be exempt from taxes, from driver's license laws (sound familiar?), and to have diplomatic immunity from arrest and from creditors. They have a very consistent losing streak.

Their church is still around but hardly as prominent as the splinter group that split off in the 1930s - Elijah Mohammed's Black Muslims.

Everyone is hungry for knowledge and are not to be faulted for trying. There is some truth in everything.

However, there is clearly a major West African influence in the "Black" people of America today- physical appearance to begin with. For me, the most telling connection is the music, especially the rhythms. Listen to "Junior Walker and the All Stars", the songs "Shotgun" and "Do the Boomerang" and tell me you don't hear the African drumbeat underlying the whole.

It's probably correct to call much of Afro America "Moorish" since the classic range of moorish types are reproduced among these people. Understandably, Moors are different from Negroes, and we all want to be recognized for what we are and not simply labeled "by association" Malcom X was correct when he spoke of the "so-called black man".

Now my position becomes to make "the crooked lines straight" with the light of truth. $$$$$-Again, You speak from ignorance. the only question at this point is are you demonstrating "willfull ignorance"? As far as this business with a "Zodiac Constitution", Lincoln's Will, Etc any one in the know of Moorish affairs would be fully aware that these are innovations that have been introduced by SOME of the branch temples AFTER the Prophet Drew Ali made his transition from the manifest not to disprove or claim the aforementioned trains of thoughts.

I agree. Alot of people dont understand the the majority of the so call black people in America are Moors. They are direct descendants of the real so called native Americans or indeginous people of America. Through their schools and movies they brainwashed us to believe the all the so called black people came from africa during the slave trade. that is totally not true. look up the history of the moors. look up the peace and friendship treaty that predates the constitution(allowing the constitution to take place). 20 moors contributed to the constitution. Noble: Drew Ali is the one that caused the so called government to file bankruptcy. he pulled all the land from Alaska to Argentina from under the bankers. thats when the foreign bankers defaulted on their loans and caused the great depression. from what i can correctly remember. this land is truly the moors or so called blacks who live on it. Pretty much all the So called black people you see today are the indigenous people of America. It always have been and always will be are land. we where here prior to the Asians migrating over here now so called Native Americans. What has been done as shown in the Bible is spend a lot of time talking about nationality and race, so it must be important. The whole thing is about heritage, inheritance; and these words are used over and over again. Whole sections are devoted to who gets what blessing, which curse, and what land. And who descendeds from who.

I am interested in how others see themselves in relation to this central theme. The poster above asked "what is your nationality", and the proclamtion of "Moorish" is national. It is out of a due respect for the heritage of others that makes me want to know more.
