So count how many ships could have landed, with how many folks, etc.

There were (supposedly) about one million "colored" in British America circa 1776. This tells me that relatively few people were ever landed on these shores in that manner.

But who knows, we dont really have accurate stats anyway. Whats the difference anyway? Netwrkranger made a telling point here: what is my nationality? This ties in with PAC/Bork and other similar approaches. Nationality is important...I personally feel I have no nationality anyway, but maybe thats impossible, since everyone is from some nation or another.

not to mention how long did it take for them to reach these shores???

How many were lost due to terrible conditions on the boats? menstral blood, saliva, blood from shackles, sweat, urine, vomit, heat, motion sickness (how did they keep their food down), feces...?????

The moors controlled the atlantic and mediterranean at that time. The barbary pirates were extorting the europeans. how was a successful slave trade campaign going on with all the hell the europeans encountered with the moors.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...dgeTribute.jpg

400 yrs of slavery. But the first slave supposedly arrived with john hawkins in 1555 (+ 400= 1955). I think the do***ents may have been tampered with but becuz of the fraud.

crispus attucks, benjamin Bey (bannekar), harriet tubman (knew the land and stars to well to have been a slave from africa), touissant louverture (how can a slave defeat a navy) doesn't it take a navy to defeat a navy???? He too was a high degree probably master mason.

Benjamin Bannekar Bey tutored George Washington, Angelo Solimon another so called negro slave was the first to promote the sciences and learning for the masonic lodge in europe....tutored royalty, and was the grandmaster of the lodge mozart and prominent others belonged to (say what). Touissant Ouverture another so called negro slave that miraculously rised high degree mason...enough to defeat the french navy. Abe Lincoln had Paschal Beverly Randolph as a guru and Randolph wrote Lincoln's speeches...Randolph also a rosicrucian...

Are you Irish American, Italian American, Nigerian American, Chinese American, etc...??????? Nationality is bloodline and geographic location. Moorish is a bloodline, Chinese is a bloodline, Irish is a bloodline. or you can go to a particular tribe.

yeah but what has that got to do w/ political nationality- mere anthropology wont equate with status.

a lot of supposed "anthropology", isnt, and conflating a political nationality (like, 'a citizen of France') with anthropology is mistaken and leads to historic errors.

Many europeans, for example, have a false sense of historic nationality because they have been absorbed by their public education.

case in point-There is no such thing as "greeks", apart from people who more recently descend from the current territory and language. They definitely are NOT direct heirs of ancient or medevial greece, because the population has changed, and because that history refers more to certain elements of the population, not everyone in general.

Nationality under blacks law dictionary 4th edition.

That quality or character which arises from the fact of a person's belonging to a nation or state.

Nationality determines the political status of the individual, especially with reference to allegiance: while domicile determines his civil status. Nationality arises either by birth or by nationalization. According to Savigny, "nationality" is also used as opposed to "territoriality" for the purpose of distinguishing the case of a nation having no nationality territory : e. g., the Jews. 8 Sav. Syst. 346; Westl.Priv.Int. Law, 5.

More proof...

A Maure, since 11th Century, is the symbol of an African head.

The term has Phoenician and Greek origins; see Moors.

The main symbol in the coat of arms in Corsica is U Moru, Corsican for "The Moor", originally a female Moor blindfolded and wearing a necklace made of beads. No use is attested prior to 1736, when it was used by both sides during the struggle for independence.

In 1760, General Pasquale Paoli ordered the necklace to be removed from the head and the blindfold raised. His reason, reported by his biographers, was "Les Corses veulent y voir clair. La liberté doit marcher au flambeau de la philosophie. Ne dirait-on pas que nous craignons la lumière ?" (roughly: "The Corsicans want to see clearly. Freedom must go by the torch of philosophy. Could one not say that we fear the light?") Later the blindfold was changed to a headband.

The current Corsican flag is the Bandera testa Mora ("Flag with head of Maure"), is male rather than female, and has a regular knot at the back of the head.

The Moors Sundary Act of 1790

The Moors Sundry Act of 1790 was passed by South Carolina legislature, granting special status to the subjects of Sultan of Morocco, Mohammed ben Abdallah. It recognized Moors as "white" people with Jury duty as a privilege. Moors were not to be subjected to laws governing Blacks and slaves.

Petition from Sundry Free Moors

On January 20, 1790, a petition was presented to the South Carolina House of Representatives from a group of eight individuals who were subjects of the Moroccan emperor and residents of the colony. They desired that if they happened to commit any fault amenable to be brought to justice, that as subjects to a prince allied with the United States through the Moroccan-American Treaty of Friendship, they would be tried as citizens instead of under the Negro Act.

The Free Moors, Francis, Daniel, Hammond and Samuel petitioned on behalf of themselves and their wives Fatima, Flora, Sarah and Clarinda.[1] They explained how some years ago while fighting in defense of their country, they and their wives were captured and made prisoners of war by an African king. After this a certain Captain Clark had them delivered to him, promising they would be redeemed by the Moroccan ambassador residing in England, and returned to their country. Instead, he transported them to South Carolina, and sold them for slaves. Since then, "by the greatest industry," they purchased freedom from their respective masters: They requested that as free born subjects of a Prince in alliance with the U.S., that they should not be considered subject to a State Law (then in force) known as the negro law. If they be found guilty of any crime or misdemeanor, they would receive a fair trial by lawful jury.[2] The matter was referred to a committee consisting of Justice Grimke, General Charles Pinckney and Edward Rutledge.

Free Moors Petition: Ruling

Edward Rutledge reported from the committee referred to the Free Moors petition. The order for immediate consideration of the matter was read and agreed to as follows Vizt: "They have Considered the same and are of opinion that no Law of this State can in its Construction or Operation apply to them, and that persons who were Subjects of the Emperor of Morocco being Free in this State are not triable by the Law for the better Ordering and Governing of Negroes and other Slaves."

This is why they came up with the fugitive slave laws. They was taking the children of moors shipping them across the land and raising them up telling them they are descendants of slaves they got from africa. If you knew u was a moor you was protected by the treaty. The fugitive slave law was used to snatch up free moors over here and claim they are runaway slaves. It was a lot easier to enslave a people where they stood instead of shipping enough people to fill up north, central and south america....the story is ridiculous if u think about it.
