Politics and Struggle for Power
<font size=1>"You are, of course, assuming the Government is legitimate in the first place and actually has any real power other than fear and intimidation tactics, which it is not...."[/color]
I am not assuming the government is legitimate. Our government IS a de facto government. Still, resolutions, amendments, laws, etc. are passed that direct the government and dictate how it handles its business, and these decisions, consequently affect all of us.
<font size=1>"Which I believe is one of the main reasons for this site. Realizing Goverment has no right, and no real power to do what they claim they have the right and power to do.

These new laws, resolutions, etc., which strip the freedom from the people, has effects on all of us irrespective of whether one believes they do (if it affects one it affects all).
Knowing what we know about government, we are empowered to see somewhat of a larger picture by listening to our elected officials push the consolidation power.
My whole point was that we can learn how fast our country is sliding into the cluthces of tyranny by following new bills and the lawmaking process.
After all, how has our govermnent been gaining more and more power? By creating new laws, regulations, acts, statutes, etc. A common charateristic of these new regulations are the concentration of power in fewer and fewer people. How much easier is it to control one or two men than the entire Congress and Senate? The rate at which Congressional and House authorities are eroded is one of many direct indicators as to the rate in which the country slides into the muck.
