What cracks me up is that the judge clearly has no idea what eBay is all about. Favorite comments:
"I'd like to know their rules for this. I'd like to know what investigation they did before they put this out there."
"How do I fight eBay?"
Does he really not know how internet auctions work? What investigation did they do before they put it out there? Duh. Like eBay has time to personally screen 3.6 million listings before they're posted. How do you fight eBay? wtf, you're a judge! You don't fight the medium, you fight the person responsible! And, as noted above by suijuris, "Funny how he would not comment on libel... the lady must have been telling the truth!"
PS, I read somewhere (I think on
slashdot) that the average IQ of a lawyer is 105. Interesting.
