The Civil War was caused by power hungry Northern industrialist and bankers. The facts show these moneychangers used Northern political power to enact oppressive tarriffs that required Southern raw materials to go through Northern ports, protect and expand the Central Bank's influence to control the country's economy, and government subsidies for businesses and internal improvements. Historical records attest to Southern Congressional and Presidential office holders repeatedly resisting or thwarting many of the Northern industrial efforts to enslave the many states. To break the ability of Southern representatives to oppose Northern legislative proposals, the Northern moneymen realized they needed to weaken Southern representation in Congress. How would this be accomplished? Attack slavery. With the majority of white population being in the North and the inability for the South to have the 2/3 rule regarding slaves to count in determining the number of Congressional seats in the House, the North would have minimal of no resistance to their plans.
Its very clear to see from Reconstruction, individual and state rights were lost with all enslaved to serve the economic interests of the banks and corporations. The blacks as well as whites were rewarded with being classified as US citizens and enrolled into laborer education camps (public schools).
