What an outrage!!!! This is what our country has become, where the people are the enemy and our servant government both local, state, and federal no longer serve, but rule with an iron fist. Yeah, we live in a free country, NOT!!

Man, Alex Lifeson was one of my first major guitar influences. Rush Roxx.
Those Nazis did that to him in my own turf, too.

It will take someone public with a high profile (like Alex) to start bringing this type of behavior to light. Joe Q Public needs to be made aware, however, that this is NOT an isolated incident and that million of citizens across this screwed up nation are subject to this kind of treatment EVERY DAY, regardless of circumstance, situation or appropriateness (the pregnant woman, or the child!) The Gestapo is alive and well and living in the corporate United States. Abuse of power and strong-arm tactics abound. We need to study and comprehend this whole Coercion and threat towards plea bargains as well. That is BB major tactic these days -- if people know it or not -- Cop a plea or spend the rest of your life behind bars. How much easier does their job become when one voluntarily accepts the burden of their contract so they need not be liable (the complaint or information the A- Turn-ya-over-y, files), and to boot the good old boys club of the Bar takes care of their own so if you are foolish enough to believe one of these Turn coats will assist and protect you -- you are in for a very rude awakening!
My thought in regards to plea bargains, and maybe, David, you could chime in here -- is that it says right in their laws and codes that any attorney that causes a party to give false testimony is guilty of a criminal act and should be punished. Is this not EXACTLY what a plea bargain is? TCD to give false statement of guilt under threat to body? I can't lay my hands on the exact law, but I will continue to search. Meanwhile, how many are in prison because they were Threated, etc to "plea bargain" on a false charge?

In 1935, the United States Supreme Court described the duty of a federal prosecutor in the following passage:
"The United States Attorney is the representative not of an ordinary party to a controversy, but of a sovereignty whose obligation to govern impartially is as compelling as its obligation to govern at all; and whose interest, therefore, in a criminal prosecution is not that it shall win a case, but that justice shall be done. As such, he is in a peculiar and very definite sense the servant of the law, the twofold aim of which is that guilt shall not escape or innocence suffer. He may prosecute with earnestness and vigor-indeed, he should do so. But, while he may strike hard blows, he is not at liberty to strike foul ones. It is as much his duty to refrain from improper methods calculated to produce a wrongful conviction as it is to use every legitimate means to bring about a just one." Berger v. United States, 295 U.S. 78, 88, 79 L. Ed. 1314, 1321, 55 S. Ct. 629, 633 (1935).

I am a long-time RUSH fan myself and always will be, and I was very sorry to have seen that story a couple of years ago, but I just have to wonder...how many of our beloved fellow RUSH fans have had THEIR noses broken by concert security during or after one of the thousands of RUSH concerts over the years?
I've never seen a story about our favorite canadian/russian guitar player visiting any injured fans in the hospital..have you?
BTW, I saw them last year in Sunrise, Fl...Geddy, Alex, Neil...they still know how to rock!

The Temples of Syrinx lyrics for reflection and enjoyment.
Back when I was a pothead, I just thought the tune just rocked but didn't understand the lyrics like I do now.
Definitely a GOOD form on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Most of their lyics over the years were inspired by Ayn Rand. If you read "Anthem", you'll see that the entire 2112 album is virtually a musical rendition of that book...
...except of course the songs 'twilight zone' and the all-time greatest gange-toking anthem 'road to bangkok'.
