Re:You gotta see this!
Good artwork. It's sad that the flag and "partiotic" images invoke nothing but disgust in me anymore.
In today's society, "Patriotism" is defined as loyalty to government rule.
I cannot, in good conscience owe any allegiance to a flag or government that is focused on killing freedom, pi$$ing on the Constitution, amending the Constitution without proper procedure, lying boldly to it's nationals, and murdering innocents while giving itself immunity from prosecution for the crimes they would charge others with.

Great artwork indeed. Amazing talent.
But dittos what HB wrote. Just wish I could piss 'em off bad enough to they'd send me packin' somewhere else!&
This is a great country if you're wealthy, or dare not question anything. After that, all bets are off.
Well, I'm rich, but not wealthy. And my nature prevents me from going around with my head up my butt.
Time to watch "They Live" again.....

Re:You gotta see this!
I think that it is a beautiful painting.& Not so much for what it is but because of what it represents.& People obviously have an ability to feel very deeply.& Whether our soldiers are sent over seas for the greed of government officials, makes little difference to the families that are left at home that do not know the truth.& I am sure that these families are making a sacrafice that they feel is right, and this kind of a display gives people the pride and hope that they need to get through bad times.& One by one these people will be led to the truth.
I am sure that every one of us would go to war for what is right.& As a matter of fact, we just might have to go to war in the future to fight for our true rights.
Also, when I first joined the "redemption" movement, I had some pretty negative feelings toward patrotism and the flag, because I felt that it represented evil.& However, as my understanding of what I am fighting for has grown, so has my patriotism.& The day that it hit me really strong was the day that my house was released from the debt against it.& I went home and sat in my house for a while starring at the walls.& Then I went outside and sat on the ground and held some dirt in my hands.& I realized that it was mine, and a whole new perspective came over me.& I realized that that dirt is part of America.& It isn't part of the United States, but it is part of America, and I will fight to keep it.&
I understand that the way that the flag is currently displayed has all sorts of hidden meanings, but I choose to look at it not as a "worship"(for lack of a better word) symbol, but as a sign of hope.& Hope that my children will grow up to an America where citizens rights are protected.& Maybe I am just a dreamer, but where would we be without our dreams?

Re:You gotta see this!
Beautifully put Montana.& I still have mixed emotions when I see the flag or hear The Star Spangled Banner.& I know what our country was supposed to be, and once was- for so short a time.& We have allowed our government to corrupt this country, and trample on our rights.& I believe we will have to go to war again to fight for what is right.& I believe that we are already at war- in the courtrooms, and anywhere else we encounter BB.& WE live in a military state now.& We see evidence of it everyday on the news and in the papers, and often much closer to home.& It is really no different than the things that were happening in Nazi Germany while Hitler was coming to power.&
I do believe that down through the history of this country that men and now women have fought in wars for what they believed was right.& They believed they were and are&fighting for freedom, and a just cause., and against&terrorism.& What they don't realize is that we haven't been free for a long&time, the cause is no longer just, and terrorism is right here in this country in our government, law&enforecement and judicial system, and creeping insidiously into every aspect of our private lives.
However, the artwork is pretty amazing.

While we do agree that the artwork is admirable and evidently does depict the artist's emotions and beliefs, we cannot help but to ask all of you to go to the "LINKS" section and download The Informer's 21 pages concerning "WAR POWERS TODAY". After you have read, studied and researched the paper, please purchase the Solicitor's book and study such.
After doing so,&please return to this link and see what your mind tells you, much less what your heart and soul reveals to you.
Thank you!

Re:You gotta see this!
Okay, I read the paper.& It was not new information to me, although it was without a doubt, the most detailed paper I have read on the War Powers Act.
However, my heart and soul still tell me that hope is about the only thing that I have to go on.& It is obvious that we have no rights.& That we have been educated for generations to believe that we live in a free country.& That we only "rent" our property from the State.& So, when I learned this information I had a decision to make.& I could either pretend I never heard it, or I could accept it and fight.& Well it turns out that I am a fighter.& So, the rest of my days I will live with the hope that if enough of us stick together, we can actually live in the free country that we originally thought that we lived in.
I have looked at my options and the hope option&looks like the best one.&
If I don't give the government the power over me that they think that they have by implementing their War Powers Act, then how does it effect me.& What are they going to do? Take my house?& Kill me?& No, I don't want those things to&happen, but&if they did all of the things to me that the Act says that they are allowed to do, at least I would go down knowing that I did the right thing.
So, as far as the flag goes, perhaps it is not the right thing to represent the hope that I have in the future.& Maybe I will learn to hate it, but right now, I choose to accept it for&a symbol that all of the people of America, who recognize&the flag&as freedom, will be able to learn with us and truly become free.

I believe these definitions are incorrect....

Re:You gotta see this!
Akira,
I like the thrid definition the best.
Montana,
I want to agree with you, but after reading the paper, it really upset me.& I knew that we had lost our rights, and I guess in my heart I've known& the things that were said in that paper were true, but I really believed that ultimately there was a constitution that did protect us.& According to this paper there is nothing that protects us.&But it seems so hopeless, and I believe that is why this country has been kept in a constant state of war. None of our common law rights or constitutional rights apply!.& We have no remedy in court.& We are nothing to our government except something to be used and controlled with no recourse at all.& I've wondered how all the things that I have seen in the news could be happening, and nothing be done about it.
I&don't see anything that we can do in this country to change that without being willing to&start all over.& The people that believe like we do are too scattered, and fighting on too many fronts to be effective.&
I don't mean to be so negative, but sometimes it just seems so hopeless. I will keep on fighting, and praying that God still has a country, and that we will be victorious in living with the freedom that I used to think I had.& It's hard to let go of that dream.&
Donna
