My apology to all
To all the members and visitors,
I must apologize to the site and to all who may have read my comments to billymac on the thread titled "JASON IS A CROOK".
My comments (no matter how right or wrong they were) were inappropriate and truly out of character for me. there has been another post where I lost my composure and allowed my passion to speak versus allowing my wisdom to be an administrator through patience.
I pride myself on my patience, objectivity (at times), and my diction.
Although billymac's continued actions and blatant disregard for the site's rules and unsoveriegn like character--this site should not have to endure or read a response such as mine. I am neither judge nor jury. Although I came to the aid of another member and defended the site's rules--my approach was tasteless and abrupt. For this I apologize to all.
In an unformal and unofficial way, I am somewhat of a gate keeper for the rules of this site. I accepted a position of moderator from Sui Juris with honor. This is not an excuse but, it is that honor and privilege bestowed upon me (along with my pride as being a member of this community) which aided in my zeal to defend a contributing member of this site and more importantly the rules of our community. For this I do not apologize.
I am not above those rules. My actions, no matter how noble I think they were, are not a reflection of the membership here or the administrators. For this I apologize to all members and visitors.
I stooped to the level of mudslinging with billymac; thus, I lost energy that I cannot regain. I am not a maverick or a loose canon. Jason Whitney (no matter if he is right or wrong) does not deserve a cowardly defamation of character where such a person as billymac has done to him through this medium. Yes, Jason Whitney could have posted his rebuttal here--but even if Jason Whitney is an alleged "crook"--he is an alleged "crook" with honor, because Jason Whitney followed our rules; he did not post anything of irrelevance or unsovereign like.
This is what I should have said and this is the position I have and should represent as a moderator. This apology is not an attempt to preserve a position here on the site. This apology is not being forced by another party. This apology is to regain some of my energy back, bring peace to myself, remain in honor, and to follow the rules set by the administrators.
My deepest apologies to all is my offer. Thank you.
