FAMILY (DOESN'T) MATTER(s) COURT SYSTEM

There are a series of professions that are regarded as "selfless" occupations. They are easily recognized because:

1) Society, in general, heavily depends on them

2) they are paid relatively nothing when considering their effort/responsibility

The obvious ones are:

medical personnel... doctors, nurses, all medical personnel

police and fire departments

military personnel

teachers and school personnel

Judges, bailiffs and court personnel

Welfare / government civil service

charity organizations

Indeed ! some of these vocations are so selfless, they actually receive NO PAY!!

Some of these are:

all charity voluteers

volunteer firefighters

voluteer medical / ambulance personnel

Ministers and Clergy

Counselors at Law (no not lawyers / attorneys)

Yes, it's true, Couselors at Law were expected to do the job for free ! Being a part of the original court system, was a humble, selfless, servant based occupation.

People generally turn to these systems when they are out of options and need help of one form or another.

ALL of these honorable professions have long since been tainted by greed, and self interest. Some, on purpose !

Such is the case with welfare. Self interest has been injected into this system in an attempt to make it more cost efficient.

It is that very self interest and greed which has undermined the effectiveness of all these occupations and programs.

Today...

Hospitals have HMO's, outpatient surgery is the norm, and when surgery does include an extended stay, you are given 3 days to recover instead of 5, to reduce costs and get someone else in that bed, who is spending money and not just lying there! Doctors are rewarded for skipping tests and for prescribing expensive, but not necessarily appropriate, medications.

Police fail to turn in guns, drugs, money and anything else that'll fit in their pockets, from the shake down of private citizens. Even when confiscated illegitimately, but still properly turned in, it is rarely recovered, all to pad the budget.

Americans have always been proud of, and supported our military personnel. However, if the challenge is a not a righteous one, such as the US violating international law to invade Iraq, they have become nothing more than assassins, paid to turn a blind eye.

Teachers selfishly pass their students on to the next grade whether they have learned anything or not, to keep costs down, and save themselves the frustrations of having bad boy Johnny back again next year.

Even the clergy, and their sexual self interest have undermined their effectiveness and credibility.

Government personnel are no better, compromised by multiple conflicts of interest. They are paid to protect the people, but instead, protect industry, for the kickbacks.

Judges get a percentage of the fines they impose, kicked back to their retirement fund.

Lawyers and attorneys (corporate representation) have replaced Counselors at Law (people representation). We ALL know about them selling us out.

People in the welfare (human services) department are routinely paid stipends to turn their head, all in the interest of keeping the money flowing, to the STATE and to themselves.

As is the case in most of these systems, if the employees play along, they are rewarded. Failure to do so, often means the loss of their livelyhood or some other public humility.

The federal government is on top of it all, going so far as to reward the STATE and it's minions for turning the family courts into a major money making industry, by rewarding them, based on the percentage of child support money received to alledgedly reduce welfare costs.

Hmmm...

Would you want a surgeon to take shortcuts on your surgery, because he was hurrying to get his kickback for doing 8 surgeries in a day instead of 7?

Would you want the police to pass you by on your distress call, because you're not rich enough to have something to confiscate?

Or welfare won't investigate the felony commited by mom or her abuse of your children, because "they only have limited resources" and "the worse cases come first" ? "Besides, there's not enough of a $ reward in it to make it worth our while" (this was REALLY said to me... multiple times !)

What goes around, comes around....

I was an Emergency Medical / Advanced Life Support Technician (one step short of paramedic) working on ambulances in my locale for several years. At that time (mid 80's) I recieved $8/hr... $3 for a patient pick up, and $0.30 a loaded mile (patient in tow).

After having had the screws put to me by the selfishly motivated courts, I would give my right leg to be working on the ambulance again.

Oh Judge ! You're having a heart attack? I'll get you to the hospital right away ! As soon as I drive around town for a few hours to pad my paycheck !!

Thanks Judge !! I knew YOU would understand !!

For HIS Glory,

Akira
