Immigration Invasion
ID, I have to disagree with you once again. Saying those people are without love, respect or decency is completely wrong. There is more to the picture than just mexicans crossing the border, which is what I've been trying to tell you. Have you ever asked yourself why these people are coming over or for that matter why Europe has the same problem. It's all ecomonic. Why don't you try living in a country where all the natural resources have been taken over by third parties, where wars rage without end, where corrupt politicians are influenced by corporate power and foreign interests ultimately dictate policy. Has the United States or the rest of the world given these people any love, respect or decency? What do you expect after 200+ years of this worlds wealthies nations pludering the third world.
Quote:
an invasion is any migration of people crossing international borders without the "blessing" of law, ie, without permission and without following the procedure of the country they are entering.
excuse me; I heard that Mexican P. Fox was telling his people to go ahead, to America, earn money and send some back. cross the Grand river to get to America.
the point is that an influx of people who might want to work but would rather test us instead of doing the right thing cannot be respected; those who dont get a visa, climb fences that are already installed, cross river and private property are
- without love,
- respect or
- decency of our country
there is no love in violating our borders daily,
suborning fellow citizens and corporations to lie,
cheat, steal for the "promise" of cheap labor instead of
doing the right thing.
this is ungodly.
I use harsh terms as above because this situation has become harsh.
people are people, but these invaders are invading our land to take and send our property back to their homeland
how else would you describe it?

Admin, the former part of the above I understand and some compassion should be shown, but when an entity is not of one mind, there are going to be problems. Heck, there are just with Anglo-Saxon-Celtic-Pol-Italian..and so on.
As for the latter, of the above. Though not to such an intense degree, we here, should know what it is like for third parties taking over natural rescources. Why do you think we import more than we export, especially oil?

Yeah we have our own problems here but blaming immigration for those problems is not getting at the root. Let's start by no spending all our money on war and making sure our kids are well educated to be able to compete in an increasingly more competitive job market.

there are two kinds of people in that situation: those who are honestly seeking
to find a solution to a terrible situation.
however, all who attempt to circumvent law are without love to respect the law
of visas.
Look you know my confession, how stable it is and my words, there is no conflict
in saying that there is no love in what they doing by crossing the border, nor
in saying that it is an invasion; let us not forget either that many people
from Mexico ARE dying as they traverse the desert down there!
It is an economic war, but people are still dying needlessly. if they sought
out visas, it would be a different matter.
please dont fall in to the trap of sympathizing for them and forgetting that
they are breaking the law, hence, illegal alien.
God never asks any of us to break the law.
He didnt ask any of the Mexicans to do so either.
Where's the love in that?

First, I realise this thread was set up for idknow to speak to his way on this matter so, it is not my desire to take it over. I hope that I'm keeping to the topic.

I personally have no problem with that, but it still requires pay then, better pay which both will still require education at which point there will be people being eductated for a position that no longer exists because of the glut of graduates. One also needs to realise that peoples/countries arbitrarily deciding who will have the more cushy jobs in globalization will not settle well with folks who get an education only to, again, see it go to waste becuase of the glut of graduates.
As I'm sure your aware, this world is all commerce driven.

Good point Rick. This is an increasingly complex problem considering globalization is changing our world dramatically.

I have no problems with religious commentary but let's try to leave it out of this discussion.

Admin, My take on things are driven by what I have learned from scripture, thats all I have to go by, otherwise I do believe I will always make decisions based on wrong motives/direction or, what have you.
So far I'm taking that understanding and applying it to what I see in the world, they are tied together, no one will be able escape this.
It's my understanding the things that set all of this into motion began about 42 years ago and really sped up about 27 years ago, but I could not have come to that understanding if I had not read scripture so, from that perspective, I understand where idknow is coming from.
Now, how that approches the [i]immigration[/b] issue, I know that when the policies of man enslaving man for profit are employed, they will always, no way around it, fail, but those man who chose to go that route, to be enslaved, will also pay a very heavy price as well, which is all that goes with enslavement.
I suppose to break what is the current situation would mean to pull the plug on it now instead of it being pulled for us later, if that were possible.

We have to focus on impact surrounding the influx of illegal aliens to transport to the border.
You can't mix the oil with water, there two difference elements, so you can't compare and contrast the God laws, with man made laws.
Remember are forefathers migrate from somewhere, and settle here, and we all immigrant, and the only peoples who have the authority to claim this country are Native America, Indians.

There are many of us here who share you sentiment regarding their religious beliefs but I am just trying to avoid getting into a religious debate on whether or not God said mexicans shouldn't break the law.
