"the City"

After reading the book The Empire of the City by E.C.Knuth, I had to see for myself. So in 2004 I visited "THE CITY" and went to see the Bank of England. I did take some pictures of the Bank and surrounding items. As you will see one of the pictures is a dragon which faces away, at the boundary of "THE CITY". The bank is postioned on Greenwich Time, so it can bank 24 hrs aday. Footnote. I have a quote from a newspaper from Alan Greenspan, quote "I have valued my close relationships with the Bank of England and with many chancellors of the Exchequer, going back nearly 30 years" unquote. Also in the article he was going to be knighted.

I have some more pictures. One shows the doors with the symbology on it. Also one of the streets is called Threadneedle Street.
