Post New Canadian Privacy Issues

Michael Geist recently wrote an opinion article discussing new privacy concerns in Canada. A couple of issues he highlights:


New proposed legislation grants intrusive powers of surveillance to law-enforcement authorities without matching judicial oversight.
The Privacy Commissioner's annual reports highlighted concerns with the Commissioner's limited enforcement powers, RFID, and the transfer of personal information across borders with limited accountability and oversight.
