This Is A Hard Place To Be In!
Good Morning,
On this day, November 7, this email comes to minister to you. Happy Tuesday! How are you doing this morning? It's a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever found yourself in a strange place? A place where nothing appeared familiar. A place where everything that was done appeared demonic. A place where the people you once trusted are now stabbing you in the back. A place where the same people you have prayed for God to bless are now hating on you because God has blessed you. A place where it appears as if you are in this thing alone. Have you ever found yourself having to defend yourself against lies and vicious rumors? Now that the Lord is elevating you to greater heights, the people around you have decided to scandalize your name. Now that the Lord has decided to call you to another level in Him, people (including church folk) feel threatened so they attempt to assassinate your character. Have you ever been there? Are you there now?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. I am not sure if anyone has told you but this Christian journey is not easy. When you were operating as the old man, you did not hold back your wrath and vengeance on people. Now that you have surrendered your heart and life to the Lord, you find yourself being constrained by the Holy Spirit. Each and everyday you find yourself being tested by people, places and things. Yes, you want to respond. Yes, you want to react. Yes, you want to rebel. Yes, you want to retaliate. However, you know God is working on you. If people only knew who you use to be, before the Lord saved you, they would not attempt to do the things they are currently trying to do. My friend, This Is A Hard Place To Be In! A place where you want to give in to your flesh, but you know you need to obey your spirit. The Bible declares in Romans 12:19 - Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
My brother, my sister, there are times in each of our lives where we are challenged. The old man desires to resurrect. The old nature tries to rise up. Yes, you are saved. Yes, you are fired baptized. Yes, you are Holy Spirit filled. But you also have an old man that is not easily destroyed. Beloved, This Is A Hard Place To Be In! The place where you have to deny your flesh daily. The place where you have to bite your tongue often. The place where you have to walk away frequently. The place where you have to breath heavily. It is not easy some times. The Bible declares in James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Although this place you are in is hard, it is conquerable. Through the grace and might of God, you can and will overcome this place. Every hard place can be overwhelming if you attempt to do it alone, but those same hard places can be overcame if you submit to the Lord our God.
