Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes we are in disagreement as to the Scriptures, but come let us reason together. I dont go to the rabbis for my answers, when the Bible is the authority I need, the word of God stands way above the word of man. In regards to the red laser dot on your chest, I think its the very place that Yeshua is aiming at to give you the good news.

I believe the red laser dot is the high powered rifle laser scope the adversary keeps on me as a target. I have met with adversity from temptation of Lucifer and man alike all my life. That's why I chide about the seeming target on my chest.

It is sometimes curious to wonder why we go through intense trials when others have the easy street. I can only surmise that I must be a vessel or tool for a great work in store and that Lucifer must be attempting to discourage that.

I understand your reluctance to seek gospel knowledge from a source you do not trust, but have you already read the Book of Mormon and come to the conclusion that it is false? I have always pondered on how so mighty a work could have been fabricated or invented.
I also have cross-referenced the teachings in the Book of Mormon and the Bible and find them to be supporting of the other. I have seen enough evidence to prove to me that the native American Indians were the decendants of the writers of the Book of Mormon and were indeed the lost tribes of Israel and the other sheep that the Bible speaks of. I also have a slight mistrust of the Bible simply from the many abridgements and interpretations of man (which interpretation is true?)
I also ask the Holy Spirit to communicate to me the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon and I have always received an affirmative answer.

It is difficult, I realize, for most people to question the very basic of bible interpretations that they have come to personally and emotionally identify with, but when the heart is truly tested and the spirit is humble, a true seeker of Gods plan and their purpose in it cannot be fully understood or appreciated without study of all the works of Gods prophets. The ancient scripture and the latter-day scripture along with current revelation is the most sure way I can think of to know the truth of all things.

Remember, it is man that would keep you in the dark. It is a method of control, like the federal government. But Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and how he wants us to be happy is the same as how we want our children to be happy. The correlation between heaven and earth is no coincidence. We were created in His image and have His potential, just as my earthly father wanted for me. Our eternal potential is limitless when you have a God as a Father. We have only to earn it.

I add my witness to Logan's testimony, I feel exactly the same. Read the Book of Mormon...read just a part of the Book of Mormon...if you are a humble, sincere seeker of truth, you will know for yourself by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Reverse the Curse, I agree with some of your words:

In our lives we sometimes see a gap between where we are and were we should be...I have to put forth effort to close the gap (which is works)...I can't buy the idea that faith by itself will save me...I guess it depends on you definition of being saved. Your "faith only" belief erases the gap between where I am and where I should be and appeases my conscience and guilt that motivates me to improve myself and leave behind my former self. I believe that we need to participate in the process...remember my previous statement "we are saved by grace after all we can do". The saving I believe in is God's life, His power, His knowledge, and His presence. Take care and God be with you.
