I would say that your translation of Chapter 9 Verse 11 of the Koran is a bit off, I found 3 translations
here which bear no resemblance.

YUSUFALI: But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.
PICKTHAL: But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.
SHAKIR: But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.
From what I have read of the Koran, it actually appears to verify the valaditity of the Torah and the Gospel, and goes on to say that the true believers are the ones who agree with all three. If people took the time to read just one chapter, take a look at the second, and then try and figure out what you really believe.
Here are just a few passages:
2:40. O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill your Covenant with Me as I fulfill My Covenant with you, and fear none but Me.
2:47. Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all others (for My Message).
2:62. Those who believe (the Koran), and those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians, - any who believe God and in the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
2:83. And remember We took a Covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): worship none but the "I AM"; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. Then did ye turn back, except a few among you, and ye backslide (even now).
2:87. We gave Moses the Book (Torah) and followed him up with a succession of Apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit (Christ). Is it that whenever there comes to you an Apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!
2:88. They say, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve God's Word: we need no more)." Nay, The "I AM"'s curse is on them for their blasphemy: Little it is that they believe.
2:89. And when there comes to them a Book from God, confirming what is with them,- although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith,- when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognised, they refuse to believe it but the curse of God is on those without Faith.
2:90. Miserable is the price for which they have sold their souls, in that they deny (the revelation) which God has sent down, in insolent rejection that God, from His Grace, should send it to any of His servants that it pleases Him to [as is His Right]: thus have they drawn on themselves Wrath upon Wrath. And humiliating is the punishment of those who reject Faith.
2:91. When it is said to them, "Believe in what God hath sent down," they say, "We believe in what was sent down to us": yet they reject all besides, even if it be Truth confirming what is with them. Say: "Why then have ye slain the Prophets of God in times gone by, if ye did indeed believe?"
