Brother Got 4 Years
Well my half-brother got 4 years in the State Pen in Colorado

Well, I'd have to make a short story long
I hadn't heard from him for almost ten years and he called me while he got wind that they were looking for him as he was preparing to turn himself in
Evidently he was in a "step-father" type role for his girlfriend's teenage son and was disciplining him with tasks to do around the house because the kid was screwing up
The kid decided he wanted to go out and party, so he threatened my brother and his own mom that if they didn't let him go out - that he would call the cops on them for drugs
They Locked their doors, so if they did have drugs, they would have to have been planted
Anyway, they gave in for some reason, and the kid took off
As they followed him, they saw him talking to some cops, so they knew it was a setup and kept driving
Anyway, FF to after he turns himself in
The kid was relocated to Florida to Grandparents immediately, so you know that there was a cake baked
All they had for hard evidence was
Two pipes with meth residue and a bag which tested positive as bath salt
They extradited the kid from florida to give unsworn testimony and he manufactured that my brother held a knife to his throat
The PD for my bro actually impeached the kid, but instead decided to threaten my brother with the fact that he is looking at 15 years with
intent to distibute, child abuse, and felony menacing
So, he says to him to just f!@#$in sign a 4 year plea deal
guilty to possession of AN OUNCE OF METH !!! , no contest to the other 2
After being holed up for so long, he plead and got the 4 years
Big Mess
I was supposed to have gotten the Mike Brown books to help him out, but wasn't able to get them in time
Also, this is only one side of the story, but he seemed intent that he never threatened the kid and that they "found" some pipes w/meth residue in his room

The kid probably got busted and he framed your brother to save his own ass.
Prosecutor's always throw the book at defendents hoping to intimidate them and in this case the PD was working hand in hand with it. He should of fired that shyster and just gone up and told his story to the jury.
There is a case going on in WI where a guy named Avery was convicted of murder like 30 years ago and released on DNA evidence a couple years ago and now is on trial for a recent murder! The cops that where deposed in the civil suit regarding the first case searched Avery's home and found a car key to the 2nd murder case that the guy is now on trial for. I wonder if the cops and insurance company killed the woman and framed the defendent. The 2nd murder trial stopped a multi-million dollar damage suit and a open vial of Avery's blood was found in the courthouse. I bet the bastards planted all kinds of evidence. Anybody that doesn't believe a cop that is about to lose everything and a insurance company about to shell out millions is capable of such a monstrosity is naive.
