Jesus is Horus
Kgod,
Yeah I have been reading. Like I said, I do find this interesting. So you are saying that you don't have a problem per se with the Bible itself. You have a problem with the false interpretations that people have come up with? Is this a fair assessment? If so, I agree. I point to Catholics as my main example. They have added so much crap to the Bible that it just becomes a dead religion full of empty meaningless rituals. I mean where are we instructed to pray to Mother Mary? Where do Rosary beads come from? Since when does saying the Lord's Prayer ten times forgive us of anything? Where are people told to become celibate? Where is anyone told to take a vow of poverty? Where are priests set apart from lay people? Where are we told to pay a priest to pray for our deceased loved ones so they can go to Heaven and leave purgatory? The list goes on .....
As far as the Pyrimids.....I didn't say that the Egytians didn't exist. I said that they no longer exist whereas the Jews of the OT are still alive and kicking and , I might add, kicking ass. Israel is still there even though they are completely surrounded by 3 hostile countries of superior size and economic means. They have been attacked numerous times by superior armies and have come out, not only the winner, but have enlarged their borders every time. They turned that pathetic sandy wasteland into an oasis. There is now a forest where there was once a desert. There is something, at least out of the ordinary, if not supernatural about this situation.
Meanwhile, there are nothing but deteriorating Pyrimids in Egypt surrounded by arabs who have no connection to the original Egyptians.
Some questions on my mind. You are no doubt aware of the Rosetta Stone. The Egyptian hierogliphics were unable to be translated until this Rosetta Stone was found.
1. When was it found?
2. Who did the translations?
3. How do we know that these translations were correct?
4. How would we know either way?
5. Are there contradicting translations?
6. When did the Egyptian civilization collapse? I am thinking that Alexander the Great is the one who put an end to Egypt but I am not sure.
7. Why didn't the Egyptian god/gods protect Egypt and it's people?
