1/2 Empty OR 1/2 Full?

Either something is empty Or it is Full. It is impossible for something to be 1/2 empty or 1/2 full. If it is up to the 1/2 way mark, then that is exactly what it is. It is what it is. 1/2 is 1/2. Empty is Empty. Full is full.

It depends on your frame of reference. If you are standing in front of an empty glass and watch someone start to pour something into it then at the halfway point you would probably say it is half full. If you watch someone take a full glass and begin to pour out the contents, then at the half way point, you would say that it is half empty.

Weis, your example above seems to be describing a glass that is just sitting there at the halfway point. Now you ask if it is half emtpy or half full. Well I would have to ask how long the glass will be sitting there.

What brought this thought on?

Short of an absolute vacuum at which time it would be 100% empty, at all other times it is 100% full. Regardless of the percentage of liguids or gases, it is still 100% full except as indicated above.
