Will You Make The Sacrifice?
Good Morning,
On this day, November 23, this email comes to minister to you. Happy Tuesday! How are you doing this morning? Its a wonderful day to be a child of God. Are you preparing yourself for a great Thanksgiving dinner? Do you have your grocery list written out? Have you begun preparing your desserts and tasty treats? Have you ever thought about the amount of time and energy we spend around the holidays? We spend a lot of time preparing meals, entering and exiting stores, cleaning up the house for incoming guest, and looking through drawers for grandma's old recipes. We get up very early in the morning to finish cooking the side dishes. No need for an alarm this time. Our stress level is at an all time high around this time of the year. Everything must be perfect. On the outside you are smiling, but within you are competing against another family member's famous macaroni and chesse. Is this you? Do you know someone like this?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. While we have a lot to be thankful for, do you wait until Thanksgiving before you tell the Lord thank you? Are you more sensitive to the Lord's blessings around this time than any other time of year? We are a blessed people. We are recipients of God's love and goodness because Christ gave His life for us. My friend, I know this and I believe you know this, BUT I must ask you a question. Will You Make The Sacrifice? Will you sacrifice your selfish ways for the glory of God? Will you think of someone else who does not have what you have? Will you share a meal with someone who does not have anywhere to go? The Bible declares in Matthew 25:42-45 - For I was an hungred, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink, ... 45 Then shall He answer them, saying, Veril! y I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me. Are you willing to sacrifice the same energy you spend on cooking to pray for someone else? Think about it!
My brother, my sister, Will You Make The Sacrifice? Do you realize, there are families who will sit around the table in two days and there will be one seat empty? That empty chair represents someone who died, went off to war, is in jail, a run-away child, etc. Will you pick up the telephone and call that friend or family member that hurt you in the past? The Bible declares in Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Beloved, be thankful to God that you are still alive and amongst the living. Thank the Lord you have food to eat and clothes to wear. Thank God you have family and friends who have not given up on you. Will You Make The Sacrifice? This year, I challenge you to sacrifice your self for the needs of someone else. Prayer for Today: Father, thank you for all you have done and given unto me. I am very grateful. Help me show my appreciation and thankfulness throughout the year, not just in November. In Jesus' name ... Amen!
Scripture Reading for Today: Psalms 100:4
May God Bless you at Your point of need!
