The Blessing Is In The Obedience!

Good Morning,
On this day, July 13, 2005, I come to minister to you. Happy Wednesday! How are you doing this morning? Its a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever heard the Lord speak a specific word into your spirit but you still tried to ignore Him? You knew it was the Lord without any doubt but what He said you were not willing to do. After all He instructed you to do, you still desired to avoid His orders. Within you knew it was the Lord. Have you ever tried to do things against the will of God? You knew what you were doing was not pleasing to the Lord but you attempted to do it anyway. Everyone else was encouraging you and your behavior but you knew God was not pleased. Have you ever tried to hide from the presence of God, run from the call of God or shut your ears to the voice of God?

This morning, I have been commissoned to come and minister to you. My friend, The Blessing Is In The Obedience! It does not matter how logical your plans are, if the Lord says otherwise you need to obey. No matter how difficult the task may appear if God gives a vision, He will also grant provision. I know you want to please everyone. You're trying to appease everyone's feelings. Do you realize where God is taking you many people will not understand? Not only that, many of them are not allowed to go with you. The Bible declares in 1 Samuel 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. It is never easy letting go of what you think is needed. There are many people, places and things in our life that we are holding onto but the Lord has instructed you to let go.

My brother, my sister, The Blessing Is In The Obedience! You cannot continue to ask God for bountiful blessings if you are not willing to submit and obey when He speaks. It is time for each of us to stop being disobedient children to a loving Father. Today, what area of your life are you disobedient in? What matter are you still trying to handle on your own? What more must the Lord say before you decide to obey? The Bible declares in Isaiah 1:19 - If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Beloved, now is the time for you to obey. No more excuses and no more delays. Prayer for Today: Father, I vow to obey You. In the name of Jesus ... Amen!

Thanks again Gregtu for this hard message. God is dealing with me about letting go of some of the people that I love the most- my son and husband and father. I pray daily, but I know that God is the only one who can work the miracles in their lives that are needed. Why is it so hard to trust God with everything, but that which I love the most? I can give the Lord all of my posessions, and even my own life, but letting go and letting God take control- saying those words just rips my heart out. I know that God is loving and merciful, and what I want for them can be accomplished much easier by the Lord without my help. And I know from past experiences that when I have been obedient that the peace that I get is beyond belief. So at this moment, I am letting go and putting them in the loving hands of the Lord.
