The Crusades and John 18:36

Quote:
"...My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence..." book of John 18:36

Any comments concerning the Crusades, Christians and worldly warfare? Anyone?

Quote:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. Ephesians 6:12

Quote:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Second Corinthians 10:3,4

When they try to convince believers that the war is fought with carnal means, are they trying to hide something?

You're absolutely correct, FT, absolutely!

No true disciple of love partook in those activities,
and NO true disciple called for the sending forth of "troops" across Europe, the Mediteranian coasts to Israel and Asia Minor!
