Talking Indigo Children

Anyone ever heard of the Indigo Children.. Would you consider people in Generation X Indigo children.. Its like our parents were still stuck int the old ways, but the gen xers are like the hippies of the 60s?? the tide is coming back, and its time to dismantle the system for future generations.

Double Wow !!

I am (will be next Monday) 57 years of age.. I guess this puts me in that category of that which must be part of that to be "dismantled"... at least my manner of thinking.

If being stuck in the 'old ways' is such a dreaded thing, then I suppose my life has been wasted. My energies expended on a system that is currently supporting those that desire to dismantle the system. Wow and double Wow !

All of my learning amounts to nil in comparison to that which lays before mankind through the wisdom of those that are still wet behind the ears. Damn, I've heard of being replaced by a push-button, but to be replaced by people who would not have the benefit of such novelties as game cubes, video arcades, and the such, is much another thing. I am really dismayed at the concept.

Jerry.

there are Indigo adults, too.

I've been learning about the Indigo Children and adults and the Crystal children and adults - check out this website and read the characteristics:

http://www.starchild.co.za/what.html

Quote:
Those adults who resist change and who value conformity may misunderstand the Indigos. They are often mislabeled with psychiatric diagnoses of Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Sadly, when they are medicated, the Indigos often lose their beautiful sensitivity, spiritual gifts and warrior energy..........In contrast, the Crystal Children are blissful and even-tempered. Sure, they may have tantrums occasionally, but these children are largely forgiving and easy-going. The Crystals are the generation who benefit from the Indigos trailblazing. First, the Indigo Children lead with a machete, cutting down anything that lacks integrity. Then the Crystal Children follow the cleared path, into a safer and more secure world.

I'm glad this topic has been raised.

Sounds to me like more psychobabble or some form of Eastern/mid-eastern metaphysical dogma that is possibly being propagated for the purpose of distraction.

When taken into consideration, the number of these alleged children, in comparison to the whole of the population, it will take a whole bunch of machetes to 'clear the path' for the second upcoming group. Consequently, those bearing the machetes will inevitably face annihilation before they get to the proverbial second base.

Sounds like one of my recent dates.

In all seriousness, while I haven't heard much of the Indigo Children concept, it sounds vaguely like my approach to things with regards to hypocrisy. It's reminiscent of the scene in Romeo & Juliet where Romeo is about to slay Tybalt:

Quote:
BENVOLIO

Here comes the furious Tybalt back again.

ROMEO

Alive, in triumph! and Mercutio slain!
Away to heaven, respective lenity,
And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now!

Re-enter TYBALT

Now, Tybalt, take the villain back again,
That late thou gavest me; for Mercutio's soul
Is but a little way above our heads,
Staying for thine to keep him company:
Either thou, or I, or both, must go with him.

TYBALT

Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here,
Shalt with him hence.

ROMEO

This shall determine that.

They fight; TYBALT falls

...although I suppose that's nothing particularly innovative; there was passion during the Civil War, they just didn't have overt public awareness of the treason going on then.

As for myself, I much prefer a mantrap to a machete. Let them put their foot right into the loop of rope, and I'll be along to cut them down at my own personal leisure. This is why sovereignty makes so much sense to me and anarchism seems like a de facto non-answer; I'd rather use the system for what it's designed than destroy it. I suppose that's what makes us different from politicians.

Try using roses or chocolates instead of machetes, that might make a difference with the next date.

I concur with the approach of beating them with their own tools; and I don't mean those militaristic tools of md.
