Re:Contractor's licenses??

Hey folks just a quick note. Things are really heating up for our city wide meeting. On Monday sparks flew at the city commission room. Tempers heated up, the local radio guy who has an afternoon talk show, just about got booted out of the room by one of the commissioners, I guess the commissioners don't like to be questioned. This Friday a couple of people from our group are going to be joining our radio guy on the air to explain our position. They will also be on the day of our city wide meeting.....this is going to be great!

People around town want all the permits and city licenses thrown out along with the Mayor and the commissioners, we'll see how that goes.

I'll be out of town for a few days but will try and let you all in on the developments.

Re:Contractor's licenses??

Hey everyone, we had our town meeting tonight and wow what a turnout!!! We had the meeting at our high school cafeteria that sits about 220.....those were full plus standing room only. The mayor and one of the city commissioners showed up. We had a cordless mike going around the room for people to comment on and the Mayor grabbed it and spoke his garbage and his true colors showed through when another citizen stood up to add his comments and the mayer pointed at the man and told him he wasn't interested in hearing him and told the man to sit down and shut up! You could hear a gasp go out throughout the room. I believe that the Mayor just put himself out of a job.

We had over 200 people sign up with us, now this is a town of about 7000. I think this is a beginning to take back our town from these lords.

Can't wait till tomorrow.

Will keep you up to date. This is just a start!

Yep... sounds like it's going pretty well...

Now might be a good time to be looking at your neighbors for someone that might be a candidate for Mayor...

Re:Contractor's licenses??

There is a town very close to us that is recalling their mayor,&so that sort of thing is on people's minds here.&We have many in our committee that have run for before and want to run for commissioner again. It's getting interesting around here.

P.S. I have a quote here that I don't know where&it came from&and was wondering if any of you know it's origin.

Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution states: "No State shall pass any law impairing the obligation of contracts." The individual's right to contract is unlimited and no State may interfere with that right. Very few Americans know that they have a fundamental choice: To live their lives and conduct their businesses under common-law jurisdiction or under statutory jurisdiction. Common Law is the law of the land, the law of the Constitution. Statutory law is legislated law.
