Cleaning up Credit report after VOD package

I reccently sent a VOD package as outlined in CTC to some creditors. Several of them kept ignoring me and sending more statements so I treated each new one like another presentment and sent the VOD package again. They then turned the matter over to a collection agency which I assume told them we cant help because I never herd from them I just got another bill from the creditor for "collection agency fees." However, they have now put a smudge in my credit report which I did challenge by sending a dispute form. How do I get the negative marks removed from my credit report and go after the collection agent for slandering my credit when he could never even provide verification of the debt? Also, can I be denied future credit lines b/c of my using the CTC VOD method?

Thanks

Welcome

I never DIPUTE, with the CRA, only ask (at least the first time! LOL) that they provide verified validation of the entries on their report. They always try to trap ya with, Fill out a DISPUTE form. or Put a 100 word statement in the file. All are validation on YOUR part that you acknowledge the account -- so their work is, effectively, done. YOU have verified the account. FYI, they nearly never respond on the first request -- so don't give up too soon. It may take anywhere from 6-12 tries (usually one per 30 days), to get them to clean it up. I still have two I am attempting to clear. I am watching Jaylon's actions carefully.

Now the problem is, they are required (check the FCRA) to provide verified validation of the debt, and the process by which it is obtained and from WHOM. If they do not -- it is a 1692 violation, I believe -- check the code for sure. And this is a FTC violation that can be registered. See Jaylon's thread regarding suing the CRA.

Just my experience.

Unfortunately, it seems that you have to navigate the waters with caution as there is no special area for newbies.

Question Remedy for Commercial Discharge

Greetings to readers of this thread,

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding materials to get that would address the subject of "Remedy for Commercial Discharge"?

We need a point-by-point method on how to exercise commercial discharge (of debt).

Should I have posted this question on another thread?

I would appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me about this subject.

Regards, Sandra

IMHO...let them come to you. Translated means wait until they sue and then overcome. I am loving UCC here.
