I couldn't have worded it better if I were an English Major!
I think we've all thought about this one before; I think it is a catch-22. For example: "No officer, I am in a hurry to get to work and I don't have time for you to search my vehicle, but don't worry, you wouldn't have found anything anyway!"..Or how about this one...."No sir, you will tear apart my brand new seats and ruin them, and this is a '62 Chevy Nova dude!"

Without Prejudice.
I wouldnt even admit to being pulled over.

Uniformed Man: "Do you know why I pulled you over?"

Bob: "Pulled me over? I pulled the car to the side of the road to get out of your way. Those flashing lights were interfering with my ability to see and travel safely."

That is a question I hope to find out.

One thing, the stakes are much higher, for both parties.

Oh yeah! We can dream, can't we? Seriously though, if anyone has enough balls or innocence to say that I would die laughing.

That actually happened to me many years ago, only it was my home, not my car.

You can always take a proactive approach like I did after I was asked for consent. I called the poloce chief and instructed him to inform his officers to never ask me such a stupid question again.

Now, if they ever ask me again, I have even more options.

Actually, that is basically true, nowadays especially; the Revenooers here have ungodly blindingly bright flashing lights.

If I understand correctly, you were ticketed for-

'failure to carry driver's license on person'

'failure to show registration'

'failure to show valid proof of insurance'

Apparently the coppers ran your info, and came up with those privileges being intact and current, because you were allowed to drive away and weren't cited for 'no licence, no insurance no regist.'

The charges are just for 'failure' to exhibit the required documents upon lawful request.

The Vehicle Code usually provides that this failing can be cured by presentation of the above items at the local police station, or even on the day of the court hearing- and having done so the charges must be dismissed.

Sounds like you have an easy out here.

Seriously if some car came up behind me with all kinds of noise and bright lights I might find it distracting to the point I would want it to go around me. For good reason I dont presume that they would be out to communicate with me or the like. The reason I would pull the car over, would be to allow the nuisance or distraction to pass.

That makes so much sense to me I think I am going to say that next time, while secretly videotaping it. Then after i get home I will post it on YouTube and all that good stuff!
