KIND WORDS FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR

SOMETHING SHOCKING HAPPENED TODAY. I GOT THE FIRST RESPONSE LETTER FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR.

USUALLY, I NEVER RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM A C.A. AFTER I SEND THEM MY VOD PACKAGE.



THE LETTER READS AS FOLLOWS:



The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we have received your written dispute and have requested from the creditor the verification necessary to resolve your dispute.Unfotunately, we have not had sufficient time to obtain from the creditor this verification information. Until we receive the verification, review it, adjust your account if warranted, and send the verification to you, we will cease all collection activities on your account. If our client is unable to provide verification we will cease all collection activities, mark your account as disputed and close it in our office.

Thank you for your patience.....blah....blah.....blah....



ALSO, SOMETHING FUNNY ABOUT THIS LETTER IS THAT IT WAS PRINTED ON A DOT MATRIX PRINTER. ARE THOSE THINGS STILL AROUND?

Wow PJ sounds like you won since there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that the collector can provide you with certified verification (I'm assuming this is what you requested). Congratulations!!!! Just curious to see your VOD letter to the debt collector because it sounds like a winning letter. Where can I find it? Alternatively, could you email it to me??

my vod letter was a modified version of jerseee's.

i saw the one you posted and it's very similar to mine.

btw,i don't think it's a win yet. this acct might get sold to another c.a. like a couple others i have.

here's another funny thing: at the end of the letter there's a part that says : please detach and return bottom portion with payment.

these c.a. are a joke!!! all this debt collecting business is so bogus it makes me laugh.

Yeah that is hillarious! But even if the creditor sells to another creditor, the new owner still must verify the debt. They'll have to contact the original creditor for information.

That is why the demand for verification/validation must go to the original thief and then their subsequents.

THE ORIGINAL THIEF WON'T VALIDATE OR SEND YOU ANYTHING EXCEPT BILLS AND THEN THEY SELL THE BAD DEBT TO A SUBSEQUENT THIEF. THIS NEW THIEF TRYS TO GET INFORMATION FROM THE ORIGINAL THIEF BUT THEY CAN'T GET IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST SO THEY SELL THIS DEBT TO A THIRD THIEF.



IT'S A VICIOUS CYCLE BUT AS LONG AS YOU GET THE CRA'S TO STOP REPORTING THIS CRAP IT'S OK WITH ME.

But no one should ever ignore the bills that come. One should answer the first one and use their judgement after that.
