CEO of Major News Corporation Pulls Story
Note: the following is a success I had some time ago, and posted on another forum. I decided to post it here as well, as some of you may find it of interest.

As with most of the posts here, this success story does not involve any financial success. However, it is still an important win to me! I got exactly what I wanted, and as a result my confidence level has been boosted, and I feel that all my studies to date have paid off.
So here is the story: (I will try to keep it short)
Some years ago I was arrested and convicted of a violation of US code. At about the same time, a major (publicly traded) Internet news site released a story with their account of the events. From that date forward, the story has remained on their site for the general public to view.
Since this story depicts me as a rather bad person, and I do not wish that any of my associates who have Internet access and do not know the real story to share this slanted opinion, I deemed it wise to remove this mindless blathering from circulation.
After months of studying the CTC3 concepts and filing my CN and UCC paperwork, I visited the news companies corporate website, where they kindly list their executive officers.
I chose the CEO to be the recipient of a Notice by Written Communication/Security Agreement, a copy of my Copyright Notice, and a short cover letter explaining why he was receiving said documents. I also included a Affidavit of Mailing, in case Mr. CEO decided to lie and deny the contents of my mailing. The entire package was sent USPS registered mail, restricted delivery, and the return receipt indicated that Mr. CEO did indeed sign for the package himself.
A few days passed... then today I check the site. Just a blank page, the story is gone! Evidently Mr. CEO decided he does not wish to do business with me after all.
Yes, it still burns me that I will not be reimbursed for the rampant use of my good name for the past two years. But I am happy to move on with my newfound knowledge and put it to use in other areas that will benefit me more.

After my first post, I did a search for my full name in another search engine, and found that the company above had another page on their site that I was not aware of before, and it also had my copyrighted property on it.
So I send a courteous letter to the CEO, thanking him for his compliance to date, and letting him know that his technicans had not successfully removed ALL the pages. I then gave him the URL to the remaining page.
I got a letter back a few days later from the VP & General Council for the company, stating that they could not find the pages I referred to, and that they did not consent to any contracts, fees, or security interests, but that they have removed all the pages.
I laughed, and considered invoicing them at this point, but it was obvious they were scared and trying to cooperate, so I found the emails for the CEO & VP and sent them this email:
Dear Mr. Eisenberg,
I am in receipt of your latest written communication dated August the 19th.
Once again, I wish to commend and thank you for your attempted cooperation to date. However, I am still able to view two pages on your site that will display my copyrighted property. As suggested in your last letter, I checked these URL’s from other locations and browsers to be sure it is not simply a cached copy of the page on my PC or in a particular browser. My tests prove this is not the case, and that the pages have not been properly removed from your site as you indicated.
The URL to the page in question is:
-----removed-----
-----removed-----
I have noticed that on some occasions, these pages will actually be blank, which would indicate that an attempt has been made to remove them. However, by simply pressing the ‘refresh’ button in my browser, I am often able to still view these pages. It would appear that your web servers are set up on a round-robin configuration, and that this page has not been completely purged from all your servers/databases.
If you are unable to view my copyrighted property at the URLs given above, I recommend that you hit ‘refresh’ in your browser a few times. If that does not work, then please try other browsers or a computer outside of your corporate network. You will then see what I am referring to.
The other two pages that contained my copyrighted property do appear to have been properly and permanently removed. I thank you for this, but you need to see that the two URLs are completely removed, immediately.
Regards,
John Henry Doe©

Mr. Eisenberg, VP & General counsel, responded promptly within a few business hours with this email: (note that he does not use my name)
While we still disagree with your basic premise regarding copyright, the articles in your e-mail below are no longer available.
Sincerely,
---- Eisenberg
VP and General Counsel
I checked that everything was removed correctly, and sent back this reply:
Mr. Eisenberg,
Both your disagreement and compliance have been duly noted, but it is only your compliance that interests me. But I will say in reply to your disagreement: Based on your compliance to date it is obvious to me that you have an ample understanding of copyright and contract law. I believe that is all covered in the bar exam. If not, please let me know and I will attempt to find some study resources on these subjects that I may forward to you.
It appears that the articles have been thoroughly removed. So at this time, all is to my satisfaction. However, the consensual contract will still be executed on any future date that [COMPANY] or [ MR CEO] should decide to use my copyrighted property, so please bear that in mind.
And that is the last I expect to hear on that... But if they respond with anything else that has entertainment value, I will be sure to post it!
