Voter Registration and Income Tax Liability
I've heard in various patriot circles that filling out a voter registration card makes one liable for the federal income tax..
Is there any truth to this?

Yep!! Not only voter registration card, including SSN, DL, Passport etc. You have to rescind all the benefits you are getting from "BB" in other to be free if you can live without it.

Does it all come back to the SSN, though?
(i.e., is it b/c all these documents require the applicant to submit a SSN)?

You think the various State governments could be sued for this?
It essentially transforms the income tax into a poll tax, doesn't it?

Sure, I don't see any individual succeed doing it.

Yes indeed.

When you fill out a voter registration card it asks you if you are a U.S. citizen. Only U.S. citizenscan be liable for the income tax.
U.S. means the corporate UNITED STATES and not the united States of America which in fact don't have any citizens. The individual states have citizens.

It doesn't make you liable for the income tax but if you were trying to hide from the IRS for unpaid taxes, the voting list, naturally, will help them find you.
The only requirements for registering to vote are (1) U.S. citizenship and (2) local residence.
If you're a U.S. citizen you can be taxed even if you don't vote and even if you reside outside the U.S. If you're a local resident you can be taxed even if you're not a citizen and you don't vote. Registering to vote, as such, doesn't change your liability to the income tax.
For example, housewives and students (18 y.o. and older) and retired persons are eligible to vote even though they might have no tax liability because of no taxable income.

I think if you notice Shoonra's key word or words, "resides" and "residence". Well I don't do either. I make my home in Texas and I live in Wichita Falls. As is defined in BLACK'S Law Dictionary, pg.1335 8th Ed. residence- the place where a corporation or other enterprise does business or is registered to do business.
I"m not involved in any business activity at my home. As far as the SS#, DL, Voter Registration etc... are not in your NAME anyway so they are not you, only your legal fiction. I write "without prejudice" on any document that intentionally writes my NAME incorrectly.
I think as we've already discussed, income tax is nothing more then a privilege tax. (excise). It's nor apportioned so it can't be direct. The IRS fools you into believing all income is taxable. Hah! It's not a tax on income, it's an excise tax with respect to certain federal activities and privileges which is measured by reference to the income which is produced.
