Not according to me, princess. According to all the British legal historians, including Stubbs, Holt, McKenchnie, et al. And that nulllification only applied to the Magna Carta of 1215, not to the reissues by subsequent kings.

You could start with the article on the Magna Carta in Bouvier's Law Dictionary if reading all those big words is too fatiguing.

Pure nonsense. The ABA is a purely voluntary association. Fewer than half the lawyers in America are members. It does not license attorneys, and never has. Any notion that the ABA controls the courts or tells them what to do is laughable. From the ABA's own website:

Quote:
How do I file a complaint against my attorney?

The ABA is a national, voluntary professional association. Lawyers are not required to join the Association as a condition to practice law. Our only role in lawyer discipline is to provide general recommendations and guidelines to state disciplinary authorities and courts for improvements in the disciplinary process.

The ABA has no jurisdiction and no authority over state bar associations. Ultimate authority over lawyer discipline in each state lies with the supreme court of that state. The Association does not address specific complaints because it has no power to investigate or intervene in matters involving individual lawyers.

I've never been a member. The ABA is far too liberal, politically speaking, for my tastes.

We decline that invitation. - State v. Skurdal, Supreme Court of Montana, 235 Mont. 291, 767 P.2d 304 at 308 (1988).
