He strayed from the simplicity of Refusal for Cause. Morelike he made a restricted appearance for Eddie Ray under Rule E(8) in federal court and then decided to process R4Cs for American Rights Litigators through the case. Eddie's primary mistake was thinking he could learn what what going on through a paralegal who he appointed to interface for him.
The paralegal was reporting the US clerk was complaining about all the papers being R4C'd. This prompted the remark, "That must be getting about a half inch thick by now."
Paralegal: "No. It is more than 18 inches thick."
Well, needless to say, the US magistrate's threats about ceasing to harass the clerk of court were for real.
Since then, say if a presentment is about 5 pages or more thick, the suitor is encouraged to write "abbreviated to 3 pages" on the first page R4C and only occupy three or four pages at most with every US courthouse R4C entry.
