Is anyone familiar with Sovereignty Education and Defense Ministry (SEDM)?
I got to the site from one of the links here and they offer IRS response letters for "donations."
Has anyone used them before? Are the forms to the point and unarguable, etc...?

Hi Ken,
I have not used their "services" but I have looked at the info they have on their site.
I would be careful buying, or in this case "donating" (which is merely a means of obtaining income without having to worry about taxes" anything which purports to solve any tax or other problems unless it comes from a professional, and who is also an individual who can be held liable for what they publish or for any service they provide.
They quote a lot of factual material, but the way it is put together for "silver bullet" usage seems questionable to me.
Having wasted a little money buying material off sites such as this in the past, I am always skeptical now, so I only look at sites such as this, and if something they say seems valid, I spend the time verfying the info presented, in order to determine if it has been interpreted properly.
They do have mountains of info though.

I maintain conformation to the advisement:

If any patriot or law guru is not basing information upon the 'saving to suitors' clause, there are no teeth in the method.

I suggest that you hold off relying on any of the SEDM (or Family Guardain) materials until Mr. Hansen proves his theories in court.
He is currently fighting an injunction to shut down both of his sites, so wait until he wins.

I think Mr Hansen screwed up... Before (about 2-3 years ago), he only ran an informational. Many of the things in his "solutions" manual, was originally part of his GreatIRSHoax pdf file.
One of his best defenses against the charge of running some tax shelter was that he didn't take money for his work.
I'm not sure, but I think the cost of running his site was part of what caused him to set up the SEDM. Calling it a ministry might have been a ploy to get the info out, and collect some money to pay for the websites.
Just a guess.

The government is spiritually BANKRUPT. The government regulates the value of goods in commerce. The kind of information Christopher is selling has no value, is worthless, to the government.
A suggested donation ($65) is not a donation. If you cannot make your own suggested donation, then it is not a donation. You cannot regulate donations, but that is what Christopher is doing - regulating his own donations.

If you are interested in some published documentation from 1997, call (719) 520-6200 and request certified copies of the document mentioned at the signature line on page 5.

Yes, the information is valuable, just not to the government.
