Return of Withholdings

I would respectfully request advice on how one might proceed in the following scenario:

Child who works as a teacher in the BB educational system. Has not filed a return since she has worked. Until this present career as a teacher, has been succesful in not having any monies withheld. Always been paid her full recompense.

Three years have passed. Much withholding being done during that time. Still fighting with the city over the W-4 issue - but that's another thread.

Her dilemma, which has now become mine, is how to go about claiming a full refund of all withholdings during this time without having to file any 1040.

So --- where might we start this journey!

Thanks

Doc

Re:Return of Withholdings

ask to verify the debt. there has to be a debt out there that is causing this. this is the first step. and i am sure you can anticipate what there answer will be.

Re:Return of Withholdings

Hey Jerseee!

Would this be the same letter that I sent to the CRA's? Ask for 'certified verification' of the debt?

Only now addressing such letter to the IRS?

And to what address would this be sent?

When they do not verify, what procedure is used to have the monies refunded?

Thanks again!

Re:Return of Withholdings

I would first start with human resources at her job. Write a letter and ask the question. then respond accordingly.

This method will create a paper trail and enventually evidence to support your case. Remember admission trumps evidence. If your evidence is their own admission--you got something.

So start with human resources first since they had to give the IRS information on her in the first place.

Unless someone on the forum has a better route for you to go.

Maria,

You are spamming these forums and that is not tolerated.

There is a proper way and place to advertise/promote commercial works on this site and it and it is NOT by posting the same link in every thread on taxation as you are doing. The proper way is to post ONCE in the service providers forum.

Stop or be banned, this is your one and only warning.

Maria, Maria

I have seen this information before. Now do you have personal knowledge of you or a friend using this method in which it has worked?
By Personal knowledge, I mean not some he said-she said stuff.
