On the asset protection subject. My wife and I own (quit claim deed) our home on paper. We do however owe my Mother-in-law (Bless her heart) a private loan.If Mom took a Friendly lein out for the value of the property and I removed my name from the title (or maybe I took an alias\pen name)since I am the primary wage earner.Wouldn't this protect the families assets?Maybe even make it show that the cars and what ever valuables are collateral.Mind you I am the only one in the family that is even trying to "wake up".I know that this could also help on the issue of debt isn't supposed to be taxable this would help enable me to repay that loan even sooner saving interest payments for Mom on the loan in her name that is actually ours.If this would work I'd feel much more confident about stamping my 1099ed paychecks and not filing at all.If I KNEW that my family was safe and out of reach of the irs I'd be very willing to get in the ring.Comments Gents (or Ladies if the case;-)??

If your mother in law was like minded, you could put the house and your vehicles into trusts listing her as the trustee. It would keep the wolves at bay then. I also think her being the trustee is a more elegant solution to having her put a UCC-1 lien on the house due to the fact she holds the note on your home so to speak. You might even be able to get your "employer" to pay the trust the wages you earn avoiding any presumption you have "income" Do your homework and structure your affairs accordingly!

Livefire,Mom is programmed to pay her taxes and follow sheeple laws. She doesn't think like me.What I need is some particulars on how to start this trust.I know that I could get Mom to take a lein out on the property but as far as getting her to be or act sovereignly that is something I will have to scout out the hows and then spoon feed it to her.If someone on this forum has some direction as to structuring a trust related to my situation please let me hear it.Thank you for the post Livefire.I am the only one in my family persuing sovereignty.Once I make it across then I can coax my wife and her mom.

If our families property is in my wifes name and not mine. Could it still be molested by the irs if they were coming after me?Would a common law marriage protect my wife and property?

He is also telling you that be careful in what battles you want to enter into at a time. You don't want to do to many at once it wears you down. Work on one then when that is done you have some knowlegde and can go on to the next some times by trial and error and sometimes lack of law to back you up (althought) there is law to back you up but getting the courts to see that is another story.

Yes, it's called community property (ie., both you and your wife)

Your wife's property is community property, even if your name isn't on the deed. Wife should find a way to protect the property from IRS liens. I believe a trust would do that, but you would have to create the trust before the lien is filed.

This is not meant as legal advice. Just my 2 cents.

Right now all is calm on the home front.I am planning now so if this calm leaves home is protected.I figure after tax season is here this could change.Hence the need for a trust.Thank all who give guidence.
