I found out the explanation for the Larken movie not being allowed sound.

Basically, the point is that it is a video OF LARKEN, and he is RIGHT THERE. If they let him perform the video with sound, that is the equivalent of letting Larken testify (on tape) without the prosecuting attorney being able to cross-examine him.

If Larken wanted to tell the jury what he saw on the tape, then he could do it from the witness stand--but be subject to objections and cross-examination like any other witness.
