verification of non-filing?



Anyone familiar with this?

So make sure I got this right:


The IRS can "verify" you did NOT send a "return," but they can NOT "verify" that you really owe them something?


They can "prove" a negative but NOT a "positive"?


Also interesting is how w-2s are considered an "information return."


Oh, I hate those agents SO much....
