tax return garnishment

hi im new to this site. i need help i had my student loan, i already settled with them that i pay a certain amount every month without my knowing they garnished my income tax return... i want to know if there still a chance i can get my money... any advice is appreciated. thanks

I hate to sound defeatist, but count this as a kick to the pelvic area, and start an asset protection plan so that this doesn't happen again. Once you enter the trap by signing a tax return, you have almost ZERO recourse

You have the chance to stop them further garnished your income tax. Have you talk to them about the conflict with your agreement, and income tax return garnishment? Have you received any Notice of Offset your income tax return from Department Of Education?
Do that first,before any further action on your part.
