tax collector business license?

I've heard of some people being able to chase off or even prosecute 3rd party debt collectors from out of state if they attempt to collect on a debt from someone inside of a state in which they've not gotten a license to do business.

I wonder if the same applies to state tax collection agencies from other states?

Any thoughts?

I would believe the STATE OF CALIFORNIA FRANCHISE TAX BOARD is required to be registered with your state to do business there.

On a different note, I know there is nothing in my county for the court in this county.& I think someone on another thread told me to check the the SoS.

Another thing on my to do list.
