FOIA for other years?

Has anyone gotten their IRS IMF through FOIA? Can you only get the current version, or can you get one for previous years?

I think I'm going to need one for the year that the state tax agency is bugging me. If I can show that the IRS showed no liability for that year, then their argument that I was liable for the state taxes for that year will be nullified.

You can request them for any year, but it is also advisable to re-request every so often as they are constantly adding and altering it. If you are already having problems with them as I am, it may have been altered to place you in a taxable occupation. On mine I seem to have some sort of business and am recieving CP notices that only apply to a business. I have not requested any from my state taxing agency though, just federal.
