DOJ abandons IRS cases against Pete Hendrickson..

Pete Hendrickson, author of Cracking The Code, has been fighting attempts by the IRS to force access to the list of individuals that purchased his book as well as their "investigation" to stop the book from being dissiminated. It appears the DOJ has refused to back the IRS and requested the cases against Mr. Hendrickson to be dismissed:

Very interesting development.

The Justice Department announced today that, in a nationwide crackdown against a tax-fraud scheme promoted by Peter Eric Hendrickson of Commerce Township, Mich., it has brought suit against nine people this week. According to the government complaints, filed in seven lawsuits across the country, the nine people-including Hendrickson and his wife Doreen M. Hendrickson-have received a total of nearly $150,000 in erroneous tax refunds by submitting false forms with their federal tax returns to replace W-2 and 1099 forms that correctly reported their income.

In seven suits filed in U.S. district courts in California, Nevada, Michigan, Alabama, Florida and Kansas, the Justice Department seeks to recover the erroneous refunds. In addition, the suit against Hendrickson, filed in the Eastern District of Michigan, asks the court to enjoin him from filing false tax forms and returns. A violation of the injunction would be punishable as contempt of court.

Celebrating Pete's successes may have been somewhat premature.

I wasn't sure when "the big one" would come, but it has come.

Pete has won twice against these fiends, and I hope he has structured himself for a threepeat.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The quatloosers are no doubt elated at the prospect.

The timing of the suit is obviously meant for propaganda purposes, and serves the empire well in keeping the serfs in line.

May the rule of law prevail!

Would you care to show any wins on his part?

To date, he's been convicted in 1992 on federal criminal charges for failing to file a federal income tax return and for a conspiracy involving a firebomb placed in a bin at a U.S. Post Office in Royal Oak, Mich. on April 16, 1990. Hendrickson testified at a co-conspirator's trial that he wrapped a tea bag around the bomb's tubing as a reference to the Boston Tea Party tax protest.

His only win there was a reduction in sentence for testifying against his friends.

Why does the IRS fear that people will read Cracking the Code?

Because they may then take actions which violate the law and subject themselves to civil, and possibly criminal, penalties.

I feel that the book should remain in the public domain. Thus, the IRS, or any government related entities should not take a part in banning, or restricting, the CtC information, in any form whatsoever. Some may remember that such a ban occurred with Irwin Schiff's Federal Mafia.

This information should remain available as a resource for individuals who wish to use it as part of their due diligence, in their quest to determine what taxes they should or shouldn't pay.

The people have a right to think for themselves. Based on the U.S. Constitution, it is not the government's job to decide if the people can handle the information.
