2nd Challenge For AndyK
Not to wear myself thin by imposing, but I don't like to
mix trains of thought, so I will pose this question, also
simple.
I have looked, but cannot find any statute that
authorizes the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue, or
any of his delegates, to operate under the name of
"Internal Revenue Service."
It is embarrassing for me to admit I cannot find any
statute for such a prominent "authority" as the IRS, and
who isn't familiar with that name, but still, I can't find
any authority for it to use that name. It seems to be a
made up name they have adopted for themselves.
You would think little things like this would stand out
like neon signs.
Thank you.
