IRS gave three different "bills" for same year!

Last spring, I recieved a "bill" for 10K from the classic Parizek for 2001's nonfiling.

A week later I receive another "bill" for 9K from a Ms. Williams for 2001's nonfiling.

Now I receive another "bill" for only 521 dollars from an unnamed source, but it is from NY this time(new place) for 2001's nonfiling again!

Anyone see a pattern?

I am starting to wonder if I just keep my honorable letterwriting campaign going they will eventually feel bad and start mailing me checks!

Scott-

How do you reply each time to the letters?

And just out of my own curiosity, since I'm new, what did you do initially to bring about the inquiries? Did you just stop filing altogether, or did you take some kind of action?

Back when my dad was battling the IRS in the early 90's, they'd send bills all the time. Sometimes the amounts were higher, sometimes lower, then higher again.

They were trying to trick him into arguing about it saying "I don't owe that much", which would imply that something was owed and they'd now just negotiated on a settlement.

They are losers playing out of the same old, tired, worn out playbook.

Have you noticed them of the FDCPA and requested certified verification of the debt? If so, then they are supposed to stop all collection efforts until they provide it. $1000 per violation for continuing to try to collect before providing verification.

I might be tempted to send it back to them, tell them of the FDCPA violation and ask how they plan to make the payment to you. That's just me though.

Hmmm, I never thought about or know about the 1K dollar violation billing dilemma. I don't mind "empowering" them to pay me for continuing to harass without verifying the debt. RP, do you have a code I can reference on that one?

Yes, I use the FDCPA debt verification process when I respond.

Weasel, I stopped filing back in 2000. I sent three certified letters with attached tax attorneys opinions addressed to me over the course of 100 days hoping for a reply or clarification as to whether I was liable for an income tax in my case.

Surprise! NEVER a response. Now, I just respond with a Conditional Response and FDCPA verification request every 2 oe 3 months with my correspondence. I will begin filing a statement this year as Weispt advises, here

Perhaps this will slow the flow of letters requesting my "confession!"

On a related note, I am not liking the increase in "intent to levy" letters I am getting, so within the month, I am cutting my last checks and closing my bank accounts. It's harder to argue when they already have emptied your savings legally OR illegally.

[color=black][b]Scott, you need to amend your link.

I wouldn't use ANY IRS FORMS this time. Just state it in this manner:
This is not a willful refusal to file
I'm not sure how I can file for STRAWDUDE
I need some assistance in this matter regarding how to file for an unknown entity.
Before I do so, I would like a grant of immunity before providing any info to the U.S.

Attach the negative avertment with it in that link provided

Look what I found regarding immunity HERE 4th thread down.

photocopy that delegation order as an exhibit.
