State Tax

The State of Oregon is illegally hassling me over taxes that I do not owe. I have been fighting this issue for over tow and a half years now.
I have repeatedly shown that I am not a tax payer. However the state refuses to respond to any of my pleadings. even though I have proven that I am not liable , they continue their campaign of intimidation and harassment. I have put the O.R.D.R in default and have tried to file a complaint to the State Attorney General also receiving no response. Any suggestions would be of a great help.
Thank You,
Robert Corey

And I get charged a city user fee for working in Huntington I do not get to vote on Representatives in Huntington so isn't that Taxation with out Representation that is what The Boston tea party was about right? Do you think Constitutional amendment no taxation without representation?

What is the wording of the ordinanace of the city of Huntington, West Virginia authorizes the city user fee?

What is it about the wording which makes the ordinance apply to you? Is it because you do not live in the city?

What, if any, is the conflict with any of the state statutes of West Virginia? That is, does the city have the authority to write such an ordinace.

To provide, though, an answer to your question about taxation without representation. The answer is no. Since, according to you, it is stated as a fee; it is not a tax.

I think in your final comment you are asking if there should be a Constitutional amendment concerning taxation without representation. The whole Constitution is about taxation with representation. Article I defines the legislative representation for each state, and the people thereof. The Constitution has little or nothing to do with the fee ordinances of Huntinton, West Virginia.

ironically, Taxation Without Representation is printed on Washington DC license plates. One could go many directions with that on this board, but funny nonetheless.

you need to look at the authority behind that fee and the wording of the fee and see if it applies to you. It is a city fee, a state fee, etc. Where does the fee go, what is it used for, etc..
