6 Went to quasi-court.
Spoke under restricted appearance, declaring misnomer, and that my name is not on the quasi-court's papers.
Showed cert. copy of DBA from SOS to quasi-judge.
Quasi-judge said come back [to quasi-court?] January 2006.

For completeness, I placed my Family Bible on the table-top-space in front of the quasi-judge, before I showed the quasi-judge the certified copy of DBA.

It's night court at CityName, where "special proceedings" personnel with guns, invite ten individuals-victims at a time enter the bar to stand to speak one-on-one with the quasi-judge, while the other 200+ are sitting and 50+ waiting outside the building in a line, like sheep to the slaughter.

bailiff looking case folders, removing them from the folder bins and passing them down to the administrative hearing officer aka quasi-judge (hereinafter "aho").
bailiff: what's your last name?
me: I'm here for "CityName vs FAMILYNAME"
bailiff: What did you say?
me: look for "FAMILYNAME".
bailiff: oh ok. [pulls out folder puts on aho's desk.]

aho: Driving with expired plates. How do you plead?
me: I'm here under a restricted appearance, (Rule E(8).) The name on your paper is a misnomer, it is not my name.
aho: Your name is not LEGALNAME?
me: no it is not.
aho: What is your name?
me: would you like to see? [I place my Family Bible on his table-top-space in front of aho, and I pull out a envelope with a address sticker containing "SECRETARY OF STATE, STATE OF _, STATE-CAPITOL-ADDRESS" as the addressor.]
aho: [hesitating...and smiling looking down at his papers]. Uh, [says something of no consequence to bailiff].
aho: [flipping the first two papers of his case folder].
aho: [burning precious time staring at his papers].
me: would you like to see evidence of my name?
aho: oh, sure.
me: [I remove the certified copy of DBA registration from SOS from envelope and hand it to aho.]
aho: [smiling] oh. [looks at printing of truename and signature etc.]
aho: did they book you and put you in jail?
me: they threw me in the can.
aho: I see.
aho: [to bailiff] what is the officer's name?
bailiff: _
aho: [starts writing on a scrap piece of paper.] what's your schedule like?
me: what?
aho: when would you have time to go to the police dept to let them make an visual identification, since they take photos at booking?
me: I don't know. Are they open after 3:00 pm?
aho: they are open 24 hours a day.
me: Would after 3:00 pm work?
aho: I guess, sure. [starts writing again on the scrap paper]
aho: are you in school? [still writing]
me: no. I wish I were though.
aho: where do you work? [still writing]
me: I'm looking for work presently. [where I'm working is none of your biznez]
aho: what kind?
me: paralegal. [this answer came from my conscience/subconscious, because my conscious mind did not have a response.]
aho: That would be fine. [smiles at me]
aho: Call this number and ask when you can see officer _. Then come back on one ten. [hands me the scrap piece of paper and smiles]
me: you said come back on one ten?
aho: yes. [smiles]
me: [for clarification purposes only, I write "1-10-2006" next to aho's handwriting on the scrap piece of paper. and show to aho and ask]
me: Do you mean this 'one ten'?
aho: yes [smiles brightly and nods]
me: Ok. [then I smile brightly]
me: one last thing.
aho: ok but only one thing. [smiling]
me: is this case civil or criminal?
aho: [smiles] it's quasi.
me; What!?
aho: It's quasi. Some cases are criminal, but those are usually DWI. Yours is civil.
me: Thanks.

I leave that building.
I examine what I wrote on the scrap paper and realize I wrote 2006, but the aho said yes and nodded to that "date".

why did he say "it's quasi", then say "yours is civil"?
Was he saying my future suit against the gunman or cityname is civil. but the case against legalname is quasi?

There will be a point where the prosecutor and you are expected to try working this out. You will be offered a "plea bargain".

If you feel pressure and cannot work under pressure, tactically find a way to get the plea bargain home where you can work on it without the 90 second time constraint the prosecutor is accustomed to.

Revise the agreement and offer some or all the fine consideration. File it with your county clerk and recorder and offer it to the prosecutor. After three days the agreemement, novation and all is settled. If the prosecutor gives it back then it is settled and it cost you nothing. The debt has been waived.

When properly on the record before the attorney in the black robe, that will come out in the wash.

To ensure accuracy and agreement, the prudent act would be to check it out with a clerk or with the case file.
It was nearly unbelievable for me to see him nod reading the "1-10-2006".

I was thinking "is he acting, pulling my leg, or is he serious?" But I felt no need to ask, because there were sheeple nearby, and I believe he wanted me to have a private epiphany, which I did not have until several minutes later when I realized it was 2006 to which he nodded and smiled. Seriously, I did not know I wrote 2006 until my friend pointed it out.

Sounds like they want to book you and take photographs or something? Why would you agree to schedule a time to go do that?
