Doormonkey seen hanging from rafters in local Traffic Court, banana in hand.....
I am learning how to fight the DCA's and that has been tough and nerve-wracking for me. Lots at stake for me and mine. Thanks to what I've learned here, I've managed to hit a milestone (for me anyway).
Wellllll, right in the middle of figuring out the DCA stuff, lying awake at night worrying, up all night reading, then up early in the morning reading again... and all that jazz...I managed to get a ticket. (sigh) At first, I thought I was going to blow a gasket. How can I now learn how to fight tickets AND DCA's???? I sure wasn't going to pay the tax er, fine. Those bloodsuckers have stolen our money enough. I am at the point where I'm just not willing to "take it on the chin" anymore.
Then, I realized..."wait a minute", Traffic Court (as it is lovingly called by some) is a good way to practice what I'm learning on SJ. It's relatively low risk, and it reveals much...in 3D. So, I've made up my mind to embrace my future. I am going to happily have a "discussion" with my local DA. I give credit to Mr. Megan of "Bursting Bubbles" fame for helping me think of this as a "discussion", rather than a fight. Faking myself out helps me get my nerve up.
I read some reviews under "Service Providers". Ticketslayer received pretty high marks, so I decided to try it out. I'm a newbie to the "discussion" we're all having with the government servants-gone-masters, and I know I need the extra help. I have to complement Greg. What I paid for in purchasing his documents, is his willingness to educate. I didn't know that at the time.
As Greg states in his own files, fighting the Traffic Court tyranny is an excellent way to learn about the rest of the tryannies perpetrated on Americans, and helps us learn the law a little better. It helps peel back the layers for those of us who are new to this "discussion". His words confirmed to me that my hunch was right. Traffic Court is a good classroom, a fairly safe way to try out some of the theories, and a low-risk way to get some hands-on experience on their turf.
I am putting the doc together. Will be serving it next week. I will keep the community here posted.
I do have a question to put to the SJ community. How does one find out the legally required minimum of time I need to give my local DA to rebut my "Declaration of Standing"? I asked Greg...he said that's not always such an easy thing to find out. Apparently, some districts like to bury the information on "Traffic Court Rules". Someone pointing me in the general direction might save a few days of reading.
Good work Greg. It's a good product, and his customer service is excellent. I'll put a recommendation in "Service Providers" too, Jason ......................

I would use the number of days given you to respond on the ticket as a guideline...i.e. if you are given 14 business days to respond, then you would be in line using that guideline as well in your docs.
And yes, I have won a few using ticket slayer....Another wrinkle is to find out if the judge or his retirement fund is enriched from monies derived from traffic citations.....Tumey v Ohio states that you have a right to an impartial judge in the matter.

I'll have all of Clyde's documents posted at my site ... one of these days. The thing is, I've got them on a disc SOMEWHERE. I'm looking through them at present. I'll let you know how it goes.
One of the other members may have his stuff handy.

So they are gone from DL, rats...
Opening post seemed to be legit, care to elaborate on the banning? If not, I understand..
Greg has given me great service by phone and email and has even updated quite a few docs lately for no charge. No complaints here. Have my first TS shod case about this time next week, so I will avail you all of the results good or bad. So far the muni court hasnt responded to anything.
