Orginal Title

I have been looking into the right to travel and I would like to know if I return my plates and Drivers License along with their title they sent me. Will they be able to give me the original title even tho my car was made in 1991? Also what other steps would you recommend?

I think it would be the 'Manufacturer of Origin'

Have you ever seen a Manufacturers Statement of Origin? Is there anything in that document describing a buyer and seller or the terms of a transfer. Is there anything in it that can be determined with certainty who the owner is?

Keep in mind that all new cars are sold subject to prior sale, meaning the dealer bought the car first. He has title to the car but does not have a Certificate of Title. That is what is obtained when the end user applies for registration.

An MSO is proof from the dealer to the state that an application for registration is the original for that vehicle.

So then if I want to use my right to travel. How would I go about it to remove the State (NY) from being the owner to me being the full owner of the truck?

Explain how the state is the owner of your truck.

well I was under the impression that when i get a license and a title from the state. They really have the true title and just give u a title that allows u to use the truck, but they really own the truck @ all times.

How does a license relate to title/ownership?

Did you get a title from the state or a Certificate of Title?

When you bought the truck from the dealer, was the state mentioned in any of the paperwork indicating they were a party to the transaction?

If the state has true title, how did they obtain it?

If the state has true title and gives you a title to use it, wouldn't that be a lease?

How did you come by your impressions, are you a parrot?

If I told you that your impressions were wrong would that satisfy you?
