For the purposes of monitoring a police traffic stop, you would want the equipment to be as unobtrusive as possible so they dont notice it and illegally seize it. GPS interface is nice but not necessary. GPS has the ability to monitor position, speed and other vehicle information. Rear facing cams mounted on or in the back bumper and rear view mirror would be awesome since most times the cruiser is to your rear and would capture the encounter.

I like Pocket DVD Video for compressing into .wmv files for my Pocket PC. I pick a screen size then slide for quality to what I want the file size to be. It translates format at about 2X the video play time.

Are the three tubular locks instead of one, suggested to deter those from prying the box open?

Is a safe with the built in combination lock OK?

Is it recommended to have the box mounted to prevent removal?
