Madatory Insurance -- notice of suspension
In Illinois, there is a mandatory insurance 'law'. Recently we received a'validation of insurance' form in the mail. In essence, the State wanted to know if the listed vehicle was insured. Now we receive a Notice of Suspension for the tags on said vehicle because they purport they did not receive validation for the insurance. Yes, we did send it back saying there was insurance. So my question is -- what next? We cannot 'prove' we sent it, but can we ask they validate their claim that they did NOT receive it? Or what? I just get so tired of the games they play, and keeping the vehicle registered WAS jsut easier -- suggestions welcome -- otherwise as of Jan 1 we are in 'non-compliance' and will have to dig out all the stuff to 'unregister' which I would like to do, but as I said, just easier for now to play that game.
