Has anyone ever asked for the original?

Has any of you asked for the original ticket (and not any copies), the first one, the charging instrument when you "paid" the clerk for it?

Indirectly, yes. I gave the DA a subpeona for the back of the original, since sometimes the policeman will write notes on the back. That would make it fair game for discovery. The DA couldn't produce, so I moved for sanctions (basically have the ticket as evidence thrown out).
