Missing name on my License
Hello all.
I am curious about somthing. Being an Italian American, mine, as well as may other parent like to name their children names which seem to make it difficult for children to write because they are so darn long.
My first and last name have 10 letters or more and my middle name is normal.
My Drivers License however ONLY INCLUDES MY FIRST INITIAL and my Last NAME.
Is this odd? Growing up, everytime I showed my DL to someone, they would say "wow thats weird, i never saw that before". Even when cops pullme over, they would always ask me what the "first initial" stood for.
Does this sound Odd?
Am I missing somting?
Is there a way I may be able to use this to my favor?
When a cop pulls me over and asks me what my frst initial stands for, should I tell him.."that doesnt seem to be my problem" (not incriminating myelf...do youre own damn job)?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Campy

Teach them Italian!
Cops are morons, literally. Their IQ is between 70 and 100, so they can look normal and hold a regular job. On the other hand, theya re not supposed to have an inquisitive mind... How they could obey orders without questioning their logic and moral implications if they were intelligent?
I think they believe your First Initial is a middle initial (as it is the usual situation), and might believe you are hidding your first name behind and initial because your are a terrorist or some thing like it.
I have a relative with the very exact similar situation. But she finds pleasure in educating the often "confused, consterned" police man. Never a problem.
It might be you are a member of a real minority in your city, and they are not used to see names like yours.

very rare in my neighborhood!!
I think I can say that there are no other italians in my NY state. I feel so lonely
Funny, all the cops who pull me over seem to be called figliato, or balducci or uccelinni........Must not realize I am a pizon too!!
Maybe when they ask me for my license, I should say A' Fungula Mammata.....
I think you can all guess what that is.
Ciao

First Initial name
My Dad (who is 84) has, for as long as I remember, has used his first initial rather than his name -- His Dad and he sharedthe same first name but different second so Grandpa went by the name and Dad adopted his second name as his "given" name. Some of his stuff has First Initial Full second name;others have full first and second name.
He even changed the spelling of his second name at some point (don't know if it was just a "done" thing or if it was done "legally" through the courts (I don't think so)
Oh, and he ain't Italian -- Good old Scotch Irish.

You are full of it. Do you have ANY proof to back a claim like that up? I know several police officers - one of them just finished his BS in Criminal Justice, and another advanced through the ranks and now works in a crime lab.
Frankly, making up things like that out of thin air is FAR MORE indicatitive of low intelligence.
You're pathetic.

Oh, and just to point out the obvious a little more (i.e. that you make things up and are an idiot) take a look at this:

Apparently, the IQ gives a good indication of the occupational group that a person will end up in, though not of course the specific occupation. In their book, Know Your Child’s IQ, Glen Wilson and Diana Grylls outline occupations typical of various IQ levels:
140 Top Civil Servants; Professors and Research Scientists.
130 Physicians and Surgeons; Lawyers; Engineers (Civil and Mechanical)
120 School Teachers; Pharmacists; Accountants; Nurses; Stenographers; Managers.
110 Foremen; Clerks; Telephone Operators; Salesmen; Policemen; Electricians.
100+ Machine Operators; Shopkeepers; Butchers; Welders; Sheet Metal Workers.
100- Warehousemen; Carpenters; Cooks and Bakers; Small Farmers; Truck and Van Drivers.
90 Laborers; Gardeners; Upholsterers; Farmhands; Miners; Factory Packers and Sorters.

Tell me, what do you do for a living?? My guess is that you have a job that requires an IQ of less than 100...

Wasn't Jesus a carpenter? Do you think he had an IQ of -100. I don't think so. My father was a carpenter and was a whiz at math. My son has an IQ of 140+, but at the same time he is dyslexic. Compete with him in an oral debate and chances are you will lose. Compete with him in a written exam and he would lose. Many famous people who are considered intelligent are/were dyslexic, but had high IQ's/
Not to support anyone, police officers in general do without questioning. IMHO, if any job description does not support what it right and truthful, it should be questioned. I don't know if the lack of questioning has anything to do with IQ, but I do know that police officers can appear to be robots.

Well, Jesus was also the Son of God - his IQ was infinite. ;-)

You are right on the mark. First, you can't pigeonhole people into a particular career based on their IQ (even though, statistically, the numbers I posted are accurate.)
I know a lot of very smart people who are working in those types of jobs. I also know very smart people who are lazy, good-for-nothings and work in dead end jobs just because they don't want to apply themselves.
Really, the larger point was that Eurika was simply making stuff up and got caught. Now *that* is truly stupid.

Thank you, Freedomless. But I have no intentions to defend myself. I believe our actions are our best defense/accusation.
But talking about it, a person described as a "moron" can have wondeful attributes. Those persons can not be accused of having low moral values. Intelligent people, hence, can't ellude these accusations.
So, I dont need to defend myself. My statements are supported for my IQ, a lot lower than that of a moron. You can call me idiot, or imbecile. But no one in the entire world will ever be able to say, truthfully, that I dont care about my fellow humans.
